2. Purposes of processing

Personal data you may provide through this website is processed for the following purposes:

• Contact form: the site’s form generates an email sent directly to hola@cristhianvelasquez.com through your own email client. The website does not store this data on any server of its own.
• Newsletter: if you subscribe, your email is stored in beehiiv (newsletter management platform), solely to send you the content you subscribed to.
• Booking a call: if you book a meeting through the Calendly widget embedded on the site, your data (name, email, and whatever you enter in the booking form) is handled directly by Calendly as an independent controller, not by this website.
• Web analytics: if you accept measurement cookies, Google Analytics 4 is used to understand aggregate, anonymized site usage, and Microsoft Clarity is used to generate heatmaps and anonymized session recordings to improve the site experience. See the cookie policy for further detail on this purpose.
• Marketing: if you accept marketing cookies, LinkedIn Insight Tag is used to measure site activity performance and, should they be activated in the future, LinkedIn advertising campaigns of my own.

3. Legal basis

The legal basis for processing your data is the consent you provide when submitting the form, subscribing to the newsletter, booking a call, or accepting measurement or marketing cookies in the banner. You may withdraw your consent at any time.

4. Recipients and data processors

To provide the service, the following providers are used, acting as data processors:

• beehiiv, Inc. — newsletter management
• Calendly, LLC — call booking management
• Google LLC (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager) — web analytics, only if you accept measurement cookies
• Microsoft Corporation (Microsoft Clarity) — anonymized heatmaps and session recordings, only if you accept measurement cookies
• LinkedIn Corporation — marketing measurement, only if you accept marketing cookies
• Cloudflare, Inc. — website hosting and content delivery

5. International transfers

Some of the providers mentioned above (beehiiv, Calendly, Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Cloudflare) may process data outside the European Economic Area, primarily in the US. These transfers are carried out under the safeguards provided by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Retention period

Contact form data is not stored on any server owned by the website. Newsletter subscription data is retained while the subscription remains active, and is deleted upon unsubscribing. Call booking data is retained by Calendly per its own policy. Analytics data (Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity) and marketing data (LinkedIn) is retained per each provider’s default configuration — for Google Analytics 4, currently 14 months.

7. Your rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and objection at any time by writing to hola@cristhianvelasquez.com. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, www.aepd.es) if you believe the processing of your data does not comply with applicable regulations.

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are applied to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration, appropriate to the size and nature of this activity.
